Tharisa has acquired a 90% shareholding in Salene Chrome Zimbabwe (Pvt) Limited (Salene) at the par value thereof from the Leto Settlement Trust (Leto), a related party being the beneficial shareholder of Medway Developments Limited, a material shareholder in Tharisa.
The new Gamesa Electric technology and manufacturing center comprises two test benches for testing and validating systems with capacity of up to 10MW, for wind and solar photovoltaic (PV), as well as for energy storage purposes.
Siemens Games said it has invested more than €3m in the facility, which upgrades and expands an existing plant. The facility employs 183 people.
The new truck joins the existing i-series truck family of Sandvik TH551i and Sandvik TH663i, launched in July 2017.
The new Sandvik TH545i is designed for intelligent mine operations and improved productivity. Compared to its predecessor the Sandvik TH540, the truck offers a significant capacity increase by carrying five tonnes more than the Sandvik TH540.

The Kemess Stream comprises the sale of 100% of the silver production from the Kemess project.
The 122MW onshore wind farm project is being planned by Green Power Investment Corporation, a renewable energy operator, in Tsugaru City, Aomori Prefecture. It will be the largest wind farm in Japan and will have 38 wind turbines.
Sumitomo will design, manufacture, and install electrical equipment, including the underground power transmission and distribution lines and the substation equipment.
The Formosa 1 Offshore Wind Farm is owned by Formosa Wind Power, a partnership of Macquarie Capital Group (50%), Ørsted (35%) and Swancor Renewable Energy (15%).
The scope of work includes scour protection and cable installation.
