The Australian energy company’s board said that the offer made in late April is not in its best interests of AGL or that of its shareholders.
Further, AGL said that the offer from the duo significantly undervalues its future cash flows of operating the Liddell coal power plant until 2022 and the subsequent repurposing of the site.
The new battery system shares electrical infrastructure with wind farm. By storing electricity produced by the wind farm, it will help the UK National Grid maintain frequency levels and reliability of electricity supply.
The battery system is made up of six shipping container sized units, five of which house 500 i3 BMW manufactured battery packs. The energy storage facility uses new lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 33 kilowatt hours (kWh) supplied by BMW.
The Canadian mineral exploration company said that one of the key findings from the metallurgical test work program was the confirmation of 77.5% average gravity recovery. The company could also confirm 98.9% of total recovery at 106 µm grind size and 24hr cyanide leach.
Further, the results showed that the average recovered head grade was 8.73g/tAu, in comparison to estimated grade of 6.66 g/t Au.
The company expects JRG to immediately start mobilization of plant and equipment with an objective to break ground on the lithium project in the coming weeks.
JRG is engaged into large-scale earthworks, civil construction and infrastructure development.
Prospect said that it likely to secure a funding of more than $55m to execute the first phase of the Arcadia Lithium project which will see the company produce lithium concentrates for export by 30 June 2019.
The award covers onshore project management, engineering and offshore operations utilising a variety of vessels within the DeepOcean fleet of high quality vessels. Offshore operations may include life of lield services such as standard inspection and survey work involving use of Work Class and Observation class ROVs, installation and replacement of subsea modules and X-mas trees using Module Handling Systems as well as scale squeeze operations and installation of structures.
The fund will help small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) – not just in the South West but also nationwide – access discounted lending and become involved in one of UK’s biggest investment and construction projects.
It is estimated that construction of the multi-billion pound nuclear power station will put £200 million per year into the regional economy at its peak and provide over 25,000 job opportunities.
The ACCC will be used for a new 400kv transmission line across a route length of 169-km on a Power Grid Company of Bangladesh project.
ACCC is also used for reconductoring on existing electric power transmission lines as it can carry twice as much current as a conventional aluminium-conductor steel-reinforced cable (ACSR) cable of the same size and weight.
Shell New Energies announced the acquisition of a majority share in microgrid company GI Energy. This comes on the heels of an investment by Shell in an ice energy storage company and several others.
In April, Shell published its Energy Transition Report detailing its “intent to move in step with society toward a lower-carbon future.”
The firm plans to achieve at least a 50 percent Clean Energy Goal by 2030– through a combination of investments in at least 25 percent renewable energy, and the remaining through energy efficiency.
NOVATEK’s Chairman of the Management Board Leonid Mikhelson noted: “NOVATEK’s long-term development strategy envisages a significant growth in LNG production from the Company’s vast hydrocarbon resource base located on the Yamal and Gydan peninsulas in the Arctic zone of more than 55 million tons per annum by 2030.
