Energy Update
(Thu, 17 May 2018) Legislation passed in the 1970s and 1980s and updated in subsequent decades established mandatory federal minimum energy efficiency standards for equipment and appliances in buildings and fuel economy standards for light-duty vehicles (LDVs).

Under a general engineering service (GES) contract, the Australian engineering company will be responsible to provide all engineering and consultancy services for the refinery. This will include feasibility studies, basic/concept studies, detailed engineering, procurement and construction support, and pre-commissioning/commissioning support.
WorleyParsons said that the services under the contract will be delivered from its Yanbu office, supported by its Dammam team.
Both nacelles and hubs will be manufactured in Denmark, while the blades will be produced in China and Denmark.
The turbines will be delivered in 2018-19 and the first batch has arrived at the port in Hokkaido last April. Siemens Gamesa will also handle the operations and maintenance services at these facilities for the next 20 years.
The 2 MWh system will be integrated into ComEd’s Bronzeville community microgrid project in Chicago.
