Swedish utility Vattenfall and PKA will own a stake of 30% each in the wind project. For this project, which is divided into two parts, Blakliden and Fäbodberget, Vestas has also agreed to supply 84 of its V136-4.2 MW turbines for the wind farms.
The two wind farms Blakliden and Fäbodberget will be located in Åsele and Lycksele Municipality, respectively in central Sweden.
Under this contract, VOS will provide emergency response and rescue vessels (ERRVs) supporting BP’s on-going and future operations in the North Sea and West of Shetland. The contract is for two years with the option to extend to five.
Five modern, purpose-built ERRVs from Vroon Offshore’s versatile fleet of forty vessels will provide the services to BP. They are VOS Fabulous, VOS Vigilant, VOS Innovator, VOS Discovery and VOS Fairness.
The rigs are currently being built by Keppel FELS to the KFELS B class designs. The price for the rigs excludes any down payments made by the original owners.
The agreement will come into effect after Borr Drilling meets certain conditions, including raising sufficient funds, and entering into relevant sales and purchase agreements for the individual rigs.
The highly competitive process resulted in SunSystem Technology winning a three-year contract to conduct system inspections, testing and maintenance. The work spans more than 130 projects totaling over 80MW of solar power generation capacity in 18 states from Massachusetts to Hawaii.
The battery system will store energy and enable SRP to provide clean energy to customers when usage is at its highest and needed most.
The 20MW solar photovoltaic generation facility, which is Arizona’s largest utility-scale solar energy center paired with a battery storage system, will generate enough solar energy to power 5,000 homes and will store excess energy in a state-of-the-art 10 megawatt (MW) lithium-ion battery storage system.

Britain's windfarms provided more electricity than its eight nuclear power stations in the first three months of 2018, marking the first time wind has overtaken nuclear across a quarter. The renewable energy industry hailed the milestone as a sign the UK was well on its way to an electricity system powered by cheap, domestic green energy.
The firm has secured a contract from SK E&S to deliver a 70MWh power demand management ESS facility by September this year.
The ESS project is said to help large businesses with high energy consumption as it allows storage of surplus electricity at nighttime, when power demand is less. The stored power, however, can be used in day time during the hours of high energy demand.
Last week at the Windpower 2018 conference and expo, ACCIONA Energia received the first independent certification for its hybrid wind power and energy storage plant by DNV GL, an energy certification body. The plant is located at Barasoain in Navarra, northern Spain.
