PJM Interconnection announced the procurement of resources in its capacity auction to meet electricity needs and ensure reliable service for the 2023/2024 delivery year.

As economies ramp up their commitments to decarbonize and transition to net-zero, many are turning to renewable energies like floating offshore wind farms to support global action. In addition, the recent geopolitical tensions compelled several European countries to hasten their transition away from fossil fuels. As a result, the potential of floating offshore wind is in the spotlight.

The solar industry's meteoric rise over the past decade can be linked, in part, to falling equipment prices and cheap, available land, often in rural places.

Solar development often has benefited rural places with clean energy, jobs, and tax revenue.

Leading solar developers have committed to spending $6 billion on American-made modules to support the expansion of the domestic solar supply chain.

AES Corporation, Clearway Energy, Cypress Creek Renewables, and D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments have formed the U.S. Solar Buyer Consortium.

In Episode 5 of the Factor This! podcast, rooftop solar's biggest fight yet — California's NEM 3.0 — is back on. The California Public Utilities Commission has reopened the docket for the net energy metering overhaul process, which rooftop solar advocates warn could have a devastating impact on the industry nationwide.

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management has released a draft environmental assessment for a proposed offshore wind farm near New Jersey.

A 2.8 MW wind turbine will soon supply clean power to electric vehicle maker Rivian's manufacturing plant in Illinois.
