The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued and discussed a new Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) that would make significant reforms to interconnection rules and processes for generation developers looking to connect their projects to the transmission grid.

Recurrent Energy has acquired two standalone battery storage systems under development in Texas.

The projects are expected to total a combined 400 MWh of storage and are located in ERCOT's South Zone. Recurrent acquired the projects from Houston-based developer Black Mountain Energy Storage.

Energy storage developer Augwind said it signed a three-year collaboration agreement with Voith Hydro. The two will collaborate to develop turbines, water pumps and power systems to be integrated into Augwind’s AirBattery energy storage system.

Oil major bp said it plans to help develop what it calls "one of the world's largest" green hydrogen hubs to based in Australia.

The company acquired a 40.5% equity stake in the Asian Renewable Energy Hub (AREH). In addition to the ownership share, bp said it plans to operate the green hydrogen hub.

The Redwood Coast Airport Microgrid (RCAM) features a 2.2MW solar PV array that is DC-coupled to a 2MW (9MWh) battery energy storage system, comprised of three Tesla Megapacks.

NextEra’s broadly framed goal calls for clean energy investments to eliminate all Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions across its operations by no later than 2045. The company also committed to eliminating carbon emissions without the need for offsets.
