In a move that some are calling a big step toward a future powered by clean energy, the MISO Board of Directors unanimously approved on July 25 the Tranche 1 Long Range Transmission Planning (LRTP) portfolio of new transmission projects.

More than $8 billion in loans for residential solar and efficiency improvements have been financed on the Mosaic platform, a milestone achievement for the Oakland, California-based company.

AP — Georgia regulators turned back an effort to expand by 75,000 the cap on the number of rooftop solar panel installations where Georgia Power pays a high rate for power generated.
In a 3-2 vote, the Georgia Public Service Commission decided to study the costs and benefits of rooftop solar before they vote on a rate increase for Georgia Power in December. The number of participants will remain frozen at the current level of 5,000 until then.
A 350 MW wind farm paired with a 137 MW/204.6 MWh battery storage facility is now operational in Texas.
The Azure Sky project in Throckmorton County is Enel Green Power's first hybrid wind+storage project. It features 79 wind turbines— a mix of Nordex and Vestas models. Wärtsilä supplied the battery storage system.
