Utility-scale solar tracker company Ideematec said it will support Solar Proponent’s roughly 7 GW pipeline of projects in Texas using its Horizon L:TEC 1P tracker.
Ideematec and Solar Proponent are working with an EPC contractor to finalize delivery schedules for the first 650 MW project.
The Horizon L:TEC tracker includes decoupled drive technology and locked sprocket system. Ideematec offers both 1P and 2P, and capacity from one to 12 strings on one tracker.

The venture aims to enable customers to buy renewable energy directly from Enel’s generation assets without having to make a long-term financial commitment through a more conventional power purchase agreement (PPA).
Both 2020 and 2021 were banner years for commercial solar energy deployment. That growth trend came to a screeching halt during the first half of 2022 as supply chain challenges, trade disputes and lingering pandemic-related disruptions trimmed the pace of installation.
