Brazil's Odebrecht settling bribe cases in 12 countries

BRASILIA, Jan 17 (Reuters) - Brazil's largest engineering
conglomerate Odebrecht SA plans to reach settlements
in all 12 countries where it has admitted to paying bribes to
obtain contracts, two sources with knowledge of the matter told
Reuters on Tuesday.

Oil ticks up on weaker dollar, U.S. production outlook caps gains

Dakota Access company files motion to halt environmental study

has filed a motion to bar the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from
initiating an environmental study for its controversial Dakota
Access pipeline crossing at Lake Oahe in North Dakota.

U.S. crude discount to Brent widens on Trump tax talk, OPEC

NEW YORK, Jan 17 (Reuters) - U.S. oil prices hit their
biggest discount to global benchmark Brent crude in five months
on Tuesday as President-elect Donald Trump said an oil import
tax plan would be too complex and as a global deal to reduce
supply hits Middle East output.

Argentina says 89 companies offer to build energy projects

BUENOS AIRES, Jan 17 (Reuters) - Argentina's energy ministry
said on Tuesday that 89 companies are interested in building 196
projects to generate electricity as the government tries to
attract private investment to lift the country out of recession.

UPDATE 1-Petrobras closes $4 billion bond issuance

BRASILIA, Jan 17 (Reuters) - Brazil's state-controlled oil
company Petrobras on Tuesday closed a $4 billion
issuance of 5 and 10-year notes in international markets as part
of the debt-laden company's efforts to term out upcoming
maturities, it said in a statement.

UPDATE 1-California to hold public meetings on limiting natgas in Aliso Canyon facility

Jan 17 (Reuters) - California regulators said on Tuesday
they were seeking public comment on a proposal that would
significantly limit the amount of natural gas Southern
California Gas can inject into its Aliso Canyon storage facility
in Los Angeles, which leaked in 2015.

Petrobras says raises $4 billion in bond issue

BRASILIA, Jan 17 (Reuters) - Brazil's state-controlled oil
company Petrobras said on Tuesday that it had raised
$4 billion in an international issue of bonds maturing in 2022
and 2017.
