The vanadium redox flow battery has been integrated the redox with a wind turbine, solar photovoltaic (PV) modules and a diesel generator at the test site.
Featuring 120kW energy output and storage capacity of 400kWh, the redox supplements lithium-ion batteries that have been in use at La Plana for about two years.

The move follows approval of a multi-party settlement by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) to the firm.

JPS, which serves more than 600,000 customers, will extend its existing Itron Gen 5 network to be able to support up to 670,000 electric meters, which will help the utility improve customer service, drive grid reliability and enable revenue realization.

The project, which will be developed outside a solar park, is expected to be commissioned in 2019.

The 30,000-ton integrated topsides, consisting of well head, utilities and living quarters as well as central processing facility, will handle up to 500 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas and 25,000 barrels per day (bpd) of condensate.
The topsides comply with UK safety regulations for harsh-environment operations in the Culzean field.
Total operates and co-owns the Culzean field with joint venture partners BP and JX Nippon.

The CCL Project is a three train liquefaction project under construction on the La Quinta Channel, north-east of Corpus Christi Bay in San Patricio County, Texas, US.
Each train will have a production capacity of approximately 4.5 million tons per annum (mtpa) of LNG
The firm made a positive final investment decision (FID) to build the Train 3 and plans to issue a full notice to proceed to Bechtel Oil, Gas and Chemicals to continue construction of the unit.

The acquisition of Mesa Canyons will increase Pattern’s wind development footprint in the Estancia Valley of New Mexico to over 3,000MW.
Construction of Mesa Canyons and Western Spirit is expected to begin in 2019, with a targeted in-service date of 2020.
Mesa Canyons will be connected to Western Spirit and will deliver power to the New Mexico grid at the Rio Puerco substation owned by Public Service Company of New Mexico.
