According to Nemaska Lithium president and CEO Guy Bourassa, the funding is the last set of financing needed to place the Whabouchi mine project into commercial production.
The Canadian lithium mining firm has signed an agreement with National Bank Financial, BMO Capital Markets and Cantor Fitzgerald Canada, for the sale of 280 million of its shares, priced at C$1 each. The parties have an option to buy additional shares worth $32.5m.
The Floridian electric utility said that it will also retire one of the coal units of the power plant located on Tampa Bay in southeastern Hillsborough County, near Apollo Beach.
According to Tampa Electric, it will be Unit 1, which will be modernized to operate on natural gas, thereby eliminating coal as its fuel. Unit 1 of the Big Bend Power Station was commissioned in 1970.
Under the terms of the deal, Global Atlantic Financial Group will acquire a project portfolio of 26 operating solar facilities. These projects have a combined generation capacity of approximately 1.7GW.
Power generated by these facilities is sold to customers across the country under long-term contracts.

BTRP, which has been constructed with an investment of ZAR325.7m ($26.14m), is located at the Fairview Mine in Mpumalanga province in eastern South Africa.
Commissioning of its regrind mill will be completed this week, on schedule and on budget, said Pan African Resources.
The company said that the construction of the regrind mill has taken five months. The mill is expected to enable the BTRP to maintain the annual production of around 21,000 ounces per annum.
Neste MY Renewable Diesel is a low-carbon diesel fuel produced from 100% renewable raw materials. This premium diesel cuts greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% and enables reductions in engine-out emissions, all while enhancing fleet performance. Unlike biodiesel, Neste MY Renewable Diesel is a drop-in fuel that requires no blending, and is compatible with all diesel engines.
Under the contract, SGRE will supply three onshore wind farms with 70 of its Onshore OptimaFlex wind turbines. With a 130m diameter rotor, each of these turbines will be able to generate about 4.2MW of clean energy.
All the turbines will be installed with 125m hub heights. The project sites with 15, 18 and 37 units are located in the Bjerkreim and Ha municipalities, about 50 kilometers south-east of Stavanger.

The Breva 1 exploration well is located approximately 1.5 kilometers north of the Toronja 1 Porquero gas discovery announced by the Corporation in June 27, 2017.
In CPC’s third LNG receiving terminal construction project, OGE will conduct Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) and provide technical consulting services on regasification facilities as part of building a 3 million tons per annum (mtpa) LNG receiving capacity in the first phase of a 6 mtpa LNG terminal project planned to commence operation in 2023.
The Dover discovery, which is said to be Shell’s sixth in the Norphlet, is located approximately 13 miles (nearly 30km) from the Appomattox oil field. It is considered an attractive potential tieback.
Drilled using the Deepwater Poseidon rig, the Dover well is located in Mississippi Canyon Block 612, located approximately 273km offshore southeast of New Orleans, and in water depth of 7,500 feet (2,280 meters)
Earlier, TransCanada subsidiary Nova Gas Transmission (NGTL) has requested a variance to allow the firm to begin construction of the majority of the NMML pipeline project, which is planned to be interconnected with the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission (PRGT) project to provide natural gas to the proposed C$36bn ($27.25bn) Pacific NorthWest LNG facility.
