A new wind training center in Maryland that supports both onshore and the burgeoning offshore wind industry is open for business after receiving approval from the Global Wind Organization (GWO).

The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is asking for public input on the draft Environmental Impact Statement for the North Alabama Utility-Scale Solar Project in Lawrence County.

In January 2019, TVA announced that it holds a two-year purchase option on 3,000 acres in Lawrence County to study the feasibility of building a large solar farm in order to continue reducing its carbon footprint.  

The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Geothermal Technologies Office today announced the launch of the Spring 2021 Geothermal Collegiate Competition, managed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).

Shell, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), Vattenfall and municipal company Wärme Hamburg are exploring a plan to jointly produce hydrogen from wind and solar power at the Hamburg-Moorburg power plant site and utilise it in its vicinity.

To this end, the four companies have signed a letter of intent.

As a member of OPEC, Angola has agreed to limit its monthly crude oil production as part of the April 15, 2020 agreement, which was made in response to the acute drop in economic activity and global crude oil demand caused by the outbreak of COVID-19.

To reveal the current landscape and prospective role and influence of hydropower operations on the electric grid in the U.S., the Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Water Power Technologies Office (WPTO) commissioned the Hydropower Value Study (HVS): Current Status and Future Opportunities.

To invest in energy conservation and clean energy generation is to invest in a healthier community.

As promised, on the first day he took office US President Joe Biden rejoined the Paris Climate Agreement via an executive order. In his inaugural address he said that the planet itself is crying for survival and vowed to make fighting climate change on his top priorities.

This week solar developer Navisun announced that it has acquired the 4.5-megawatt Linden Hawk Rise Solar Project, a community solar project under construction in Linden, New Jersey.  The solar project is located on the City of Linden’s landfill, in Union County, New Jersey. CS Energy was instrumental in developing the project and is currently constructing the project.
