LONDON/MILAN, Dec 22 (Reuters) - British shares edged up to
two-month highs on Thursday, led by gains in the energy sector
and among precious metals miners.

Engie CEO complains to French regulator about attempts to undermine company

PARIS, Dec 22 (Reuters) - The chief executive of French
energy group Engie has sent a complaint to the French
financial markets regulator warning of attempts to undermine the
company, an Engie spokesman said on Thursday.

OPEC monitoring committee to meet first half of Jan -Kuwaiti oil minister

CAIRO, Dec 22 (Reuters) - An OPEC committee responsible for
monitoring compliance with a global agreement to reduce oil
output will meet in the first half of January, Kuwait's oil
minister said on Thursday.

MIDEAST STOCKS-Saudi edges up before budget, Egypt's rise slows

DUBAI, Dec 22 (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia's stock market edged

UPDATE 1-Egypt seeks to import crude directly from Iraq

CAIRO, Dec 22 (Reuters) - Egypt's Petroleum Minister Tarek
El Molla said on Thursday his country was seeking to reach an
agreement with Iraq over importing crude oil directly and that
he hoped to finalise the deal by the first quarter of 2017.
