TORONTO, Jan 20 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index jumped
1 percent on Friday in a broad rally led by resources stocks as
oil prices pushed higher and other commodity prices also gained
and as investors eyed the inauguration of Donald Trump as the
next U.S. president.
CARACAS, Jan 20 (Reuters) - Venezuelan consumer prices rose
800 percent in 2016 while the economy contracted by 18.6
percent, according to preliminary central bank figures seen by
Reuters, the sharpest contraction in 13 years and the worst
inflation reading on record.
