British village gets solar battery boost in green energy trial

LONDON, Jan 20 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - Villagers in
northern England may soon see their electricity bills slashed by
as much as 50 percent in a pilot project allowing them to use
solar power around the clock.

Venezuela 2016 inflation hits 800 pct, GDP shrinks 19 percent- document

CARACAS, Jan 20 (Reuters) - Venezuelan consumer prices rose
800 percent in 2016 while the economy contracted by 18.6
percent, according to preliminary central bank figures seen by
Reuters, the sharpest contraction in 13 years and the worst
inflation reading on record.
