DSD Renewables has been tapped to install 13 MW of solar power on Home Depot stores in California, the companies announced.

Solar panels on the 25 stores are expected to generate a total of 17 million kWh of clean energy annually. With this latest collaboration, DSD Renewables will have installed solar power on 98 Home Depot stores.

BayWa r.e. and its subsidiaries have built four pilot projects in Europe to support agrivoltaics research.

Duke Energy Sustainable Solutions said it acquired Pike Solar, a solar power plant being built to serve customers of Colorado Springs Utilities. DESS is an unregulated commercial brand of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.

DESS acquired the solar project from Germany-based JUWI Inc. JUWI will be responsible for the project’s engineering, procurement and construction. Solar modules will be procured by DESS.

Lightsource bp said it closed on a $267 million tax equity investment from Wells Fargo & Co. The investment is in addition to Lightsource bp’s sponsor equity investment and complements a debt financing package that closed in December 2021.

Longroad Energy said it lined up financing and started work on Sun Streams 3, a 285 MWdc PV and 215 MWac / 860 MWh storage project in Maricopa County, Arizona. 

Sun Streams 3 is expected to begin commercial operations in 2024, and has a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with Arizona Public Service.

Wisconsin utility Alliant Energy has energized three solar projects totaling 250 MWac.

The projects are part of Alliant Energy’s Clean Energy Blueprint. Burns & McDonnell performed the engineering, procurement, and construction work on the projects, and will now move on to six additional solar projects within Alliant Energy’s blueprint. The Wood County (150 MWac), Bear Creek (50 MWac), and North Rock (50 MWac) projects are now energized.
