Renewable energy retailer Octopus Energy US is partnering with Enphase Energy, Inc., a supplier of microinverter-based solar and battery systems, to create a virtual power plant (VPP) in Texas.
With the partnership, Octopus Energy customers in the US will be able to integrate Enphase home solar and battery solutions in their energy plan in the hopes of accessing low-cost residential energy rates.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — A U.S. government study has determined that with little room on the island for large-scale solar farms or wind generators, Puerto Rico should aim to reach its clean-energy goals by installing solar panels on all suitable rooftops, along with airports, brownfields and industrial areas.
Aypa Power, a Blackstone company that develops, owns, and operates utility-scale energy storage and hybrid renewable energy projects, said it closed $320 million of letter-of-credit and revolving credit facilities led by Banco Santander, Investec, and Nomura as coordinating lead arrangers and joint bookrunners.

BENGALURU, India (AP) — For six years, Pravinbhai Parmar’s farm in Gujarat state in western India has been lined with rice, wheat and solar panels.
The 36-year-old is among a handful of farmers in his native Dhundi village who have been using solar power to irrigate crops.
“I was spending nearly 50,000 rupees ($615) every year to water my crops,” said Parmar. “With solar I spend nothing.”

Hydrogen Charbone Corporation announced it has signed the contract of purchase and sale with Northwoods Hydropower Inc. to acquire all general partner and limited partner interests in Tower Kleber Limited Partnership and the Black River Limited Partnership.
PacifiCorp has signed a 30-year power purchase agreement for the output of a wind farm under development in Wyoming.
Innergex is developing the 330 MW Boswell Springs Wind Project, which will connect to the PacifiCorp power grid at the Freezeout Substation in Carbon County, Wyoming via the Last Mile Transmission Project.
At 320 MW, the PacifiCorp PPA accounts for nearly all of the project’s expected output.
