Speaking at the start of a new round of climate talks in Bonn, Germany, today, Patricia Espinosa, executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, said the current climate pledges put forth by signatories of the Paris Agreement “simply aren’t ambitious enough.”

OPEC would benefit from more transparency about oil prices. The group has geared its efforts to rebalancing the market, but its ultimate goal is surely to maximize revenues for its members. Putting a number on this target would be helpful.

Solar PV provider First Solar yesterday said it will build a new solar module manufacturing facility near its existing Perrysburg, Ohio plant.

The U.S. generates millions of tons of food scraps; inedible fats, oils and greases; sewage and manure. Some of this organic waste is used for energy or fertilizer, but most of it—around 50 million tons a year—is sent to landfills, incinerated, or otherwise left to decompose.

(Fri, 27 Apr 2018) The United States exported nearly 1.4 billion gallons of fuel ethanol in 2017, surpassing the previous record of 1.2 billion gallons set in 2011. U.S. imports of ethanol in 2017 increased compared with 2016 but remained relatively small at 77 million gallons, resulting in the United States being a net exporter of ethanol for the eighth consecutive year.

Solar PV mounting systems provider Unirac Inc. today said that it has acquired certain assets of SolarHooks, a manufacturer of residential solar roof attachments.
