Oil up as Venezuela sees output deal, Libya suffers clashes

SINGAPORE, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Oil prices rose in Asian
trade on Monday after Venezuela said that OPEC and non-OPEC
countries were close to reaching an output stabilizing deal and
as clashes in Libya raised concerns that efforts to restart
crude exports could be disrupted.

MARGARITA ISLAND, Venezuela, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Venezuelan
President Nicolas Maduro said on Sunday that OPEC and non-OPEC
countries were close to reaching a deal to stabilize oil markets
and that he aimed for a deal to be announced this month.

CARACAS, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Nicolas
Maduro said on Sunday that OPEC and non-OPEC countries were
"close" to reaching a deal to stabilize oil markets and that he
aimed for a deal to be announced this month.

EERC and partners to improve prediction of CO2 storage capacity in geologic formations

The Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC) is working with the Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) and Hitachi High Technologies America, to improve assessment methods for estimating the storage capacity of carbon dioxide (CO2) in tight shale formations, such as the Bakken.

continuing problems with Colonial Pipeline Co's gasoline line
that carries fuel to the U.S. East Coast, as the company started

TORONTO, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Canada will impose a carbon
price on provinces that do not adequately regulate emissions by
themselves, Environment Minister Catherine McKenna said on
Sunday without giving details on how the Liberal government will
do so.

freed 14 kidnapped oil workers in the restive southern Niger
