U.S. Supreme Court to weigh securities class action timing question

WASHINGTON, Jan 13 (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on
Friday agreed to resolve a legal dispute over whether certain
securities class action lawsuits can be barred because they were
filed too late.

Canadian drillers add most oil rigs in two years -Baker Hughes

Jan 13 (Reuters) - Energy firms in Canada more than doubled
the number of rigs drilling for oil this week to the highest
level in almost two years as producers returned en masse from
Christmas breaks and crude prices remain near 18-month highs.

U.S. oil drillers cut rigs for 2nd week in 7 months -Baker

Jan 13 (Reuters) - U.S. oil drillers cut rigs this week for
only the second week in the last seven months, likely just a
brief pause in a recovery expected to last into 2018 as shale
producers plan to boost spending as crude prices hold near an
18-month high.
Drillers cut seven oil rigs in the week to Jan. 13, bringing
the total rig count down to 522, compared with 515 rigs seen a
year ago, according to energy services firm Baker Hughes Inc
