DUBAI, Jan 27 (Reuters) - Bourses in Saudi Arabia and Egypt rose in early trade on Wednesday as investors, encouraged by signs that Brent crude may settle above $30 a barrel, moved back into a market that has been hit hard by weak oil prices this year.

PARIS, Jan 27 (Reuters) - Syrian Kurdish officials will not be invited to peace talks in Geneva, where negotiations for the opposition will be led by a Saudi-backed opposition group, France's foreign minister said on Wednesday.

TAIPEI, Jan 27 (Reuters) - The United States said on Wednesday that Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou's planned trip to the Taiwanese-held island of Itu Aba in the disputed South China Sea is "extremely unhelpful" and will not contribute to the peaceful resolution of disputes.
