(Wed, 30 Mar 2022) The 2020 RECS provides household characteristics and energy usage indicators for the estimated 123.5 million homes in the United States in 2020. The first release of 2020 RECS data includes preliminary estimates on the structural and geographic characteristics of homes, types of electronics and appliances used within them, lighting characteristics, demographic characteristics, and household energy insecurity.
The U.S. needs 2,100 wind turbines, 6,800 miles of cable, 2,100 foundations, 58 crew transfer vessels, and up to 50,000 trained workers to meet the Biden administration's goal of 30 GW of offshore wind energy deployed by 2030.
