May 16 (Reuters) - The war of words between U.S. pipeline
operators Williams and Energy Transfer Equity (ETE)
has worsened after Williams filed a lawsuit to pressure
its would-be buyer to proceed with their merger agreement.
(Mon, 16 May 2016) Global energy-related carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions are projected to increase by one-third between 2012 and 2040 in EIA's International Energy Outlook 2016 (IEO2016) Reference case, largely driven by increased energy use in countries outside of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The continuing increase in total emissions occurs despite a moderate decrease in the carbon intensity (CO2 per unit of energy) of the global energy supply.
May 16 (Reuters) - Breitburn Energy Partners LP and
some of its units filed for restructuring under Chapter 11 of
the U.S. bankruptcy code on Monday, the latest company to face
the brunt of low commodity prices.

SINGAPORE, May 13 (Reuters) - Asia's refined product markets
are being swamped by a wave of gasoline as a long-lasting crude
oil glut spills into the one fuel market refiners had hoped
would save them, ruining margins and dragging down share prices
across the region.
Brazilian state-run oil company Petroleo Brasileiro (Petrobras) has signed an agreement to divest its 67.19% stake in its Argentina subsidiary to Pampa Energia for $892m.
Rosneft and Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) PetroVietnam have signed a cooperation agreement.
