LUANDA, Aug 23 (Reuters) - Angola's ruling People's Movement
for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) elected new party leaders on
Tuesday, including a former army general seen as a front-runner
to succeed long-time president José Eduardo dos Santos.

YENAGOA, Nigeria, Aug 23 (Reuters) - The Nigerian army has
arrested three militants suspected of having been involved in
the killing of four soldiers and seized a large weapons cache,
it said on Tuesday.

CAIRO, Aug 23 (Reuters) - Egypt plans to end fuel subsidies
within three years and is aiming to increase fuel prices to 65

LONDON, Aug 23 (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia's oil production hit
a record in July, according to published statistics, and is
likely to hit another in August, according to industry sources.
