LAUNCESTON, Australia, Aug 29 (Reuters) - There is little
doubt that China's surging exports of refined fuels have cut
profit margins for Asia's refiners, but the pain is unlikely to
be shared equally across all the region's exporters of oil
products.

The system devised to force compliance with the US Renewable Fuel Standard appears to be backfiring, forcing refiners to spend more on buying increasingly expensive credits than actually blending renewables into the nation’s transportation fuel.

It’s not sexy. But it can make you warmer. It can even make you cooler. On-bill financing provides loans for energy efficiency improvements through the local utility company.

(Mon, 29 Aug 2016) The District of Columbia (DC) increased and extended its renewable portfolio standard (RPS) target from 20% by 2020 to 50% by 2032. The target includes a separate solar-specific target of 5% by 2032, an increase and extension from 2.5% by 2023.

SINGAPORE, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Oil prices fell early on
Monday as output from Iraq rose and as Iran said it would only
cooperate in upcoming producer talks to freeze output if fellow
exporters recognised its right to fully regain market share.

SIRTE, Libya, Aug 28 (Reuters) - At least 34 Libyan fighters

city of Sirte, according to field hospitals.

SANAA, Aug 28 (Reuters) - Yemen's Houthi-run governing
council said on Sunday it was ready to restart peace talks with
the country's exiled government provided a Saudi-led coalition
stopped attacking and besieging Houthi-held territories.
