Aggregate wind power curtailment across China grew to 32.3 billion kWh during the first seven months of 2016, an increase of 14.8 billion kWh over the same period of 2015, according to data from the National Energy Administration of China (NEA). The number was very close to the 33.9 billion kWh recorded for the whole of 2015. The country’s average wind power curtailment rate grew by 6 percentage points year on year to a record 21 percent. 

DUBAI, Aug 31 (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia does not target a
specific level of oil production and its output is based on
customers' needs, the energy minister of the world's largest oil
exporter said.

Aug 31 (Reuters) - U.S. crude oil stockpiles rose much more
than expected last week, while distillate inventories surged as
well, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said on
Wednesday.

TORONTO, Aug 31 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index fell
on Wednesday as lower oil and gold prices weighed on energy and
mining stocks.

For the past nine years, a Dutch cooperative wind power project in Amsterdam has been stalled by regulations imposed by political opponents. The project was initiated in 2007 by local co-op Onze Energie along with venture partner NDSM Energy and other wind co-ops.  

LONDON, Aug 31 (Reuters) - OPEC's oil output is likely in
August to reach its highest in recent history, a Reuters survey
found on Wednesday, as extra barrels from Saudi Arabia and other
Gulf members make up for losses in Nigeria and Libya.
