WASHINGTON, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Democratic presidential
hopeful Hillary Clinton struggled with how to secure the
endorsement of labor unions while announcing her opposition to
the Keystone XL oil pipeline, a project they supported but
environmentalists opposed, according to leaked emails published
by Wikileaks on Friday.

BUENOS AIRES, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Argentina expects investment
of $1.8 billion from 17 renewable energy projects awarded in an
auction to generate 1,109 megawatts of power, the government
said on Friday, as it tries to lessen dependence on imported
power.

providing a credit line of up to $1.2 billion to boost oil
output at a joint venture it runs with Venezuelan state oil
company PDVSA, the companies announced on Friday.

The US is the world’s largest consumer of oil, as well as one of its largest producers, making it uniquely positioned at the recent International Energy Forum in Algiers.
