DHAKA, Oct 13 (Reuters) - Chevron Corp confirmed
that the company is in "commercial discussions" regarding its
Bangladesh assets, as the second-largest U.S. energy company
moves forward with plans to sell assets amid a prolonged slump
in energy prices.
BEIJING, Oct 13 (Reuters) - China went on an unexpectedly
big buying spree for crude oil, coal and iron ore last month,
customs data showed on Thursday, even as Beijing cools its
overheated property market and concerns linger about the health
of the world's No. 2 economy.

(Thu, 13 Oct 2016) Preliminary estimates for the 2014 Manufacturing Energy Consumption Survey (MECS) show that the total U.S. manufacturing energy consumption increased about 3.7% between 2010 and 2014. This is the first measured 4-year increase in manufacturing energy consumption since 2002. More detailed data tables and analysis of the 2014 MECS will be released in 2017.
