CALGARY, Alberta, Oct 18 (Reuters) - Some five months after
the wildfires that devastated Fort McMurray were extinguished,
anger over red tape and the slow pace of insurance payouts and
permit issuance is flaring in the remote northern Canadian city.

PDVSA is to extend the second deadline for a $5.3 billion bond
swap offer to Friday and says if unsuccessful, it "could be
difficult" to pay existing debt.

downtown Rio de Janeiro on Monday when protesters demonstrating
against a proposed government spending cap approached the

oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA said on Monday it
had agreed to sell its mothballed Okinawa refinery and related
assets to Japan's Taiyo Oil Co. for $129.3 million, according to
a securities filing.
BRASILIA, Oct 17 (Reuters) - President Michel Temer's
government will ease requirements that oil industry equipment be
produced in Brazil as part of its effort to draw investment and
lower costs that have hindered development of vast reserves, a
senior official said on Monday.
Fluor announced that all 358 modules have been fabricated and shipped to the site for its portion of the Fort Hills Energy L.P. oil sands mining project in the Athabasca region of Alberta, Canada.
