CANADA STOCKS-TSX rises to 16-month high, led by resource shares

TORONTO, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index rose
to a 16-month high on Friday as shares of energy and materials
companies led broad-based gains and investors raised bets on a
rate cut from the Bank of Canada.

Grain exporters in Argentina invest $1.2 billion in Rosario hub

BUENOS AIRES, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Companies that ship grains
from Argentina including Glencore, Cargill, Cofco, and Bunge,
will invest some $1.2 billion over three years to improve
infrastructure in the main port network of Rosario, the
government said on Friday.

vowed on Friday to focus their battle to remove socialist

product growth slowed to 6.2 percent in January-September from
7.5 percent a year earlier, the Central Asian nation's state

SunEdison creditors launch lawsuit against lenders in bankruptcy battle

NEW YORK, Oct 21 (Reuters) - A group of SunEdison Inc
lenders took control of the renewable energy
developer after inking a "sweetheart deal" to try to save their
investment as the company approached bankruptcy, hurting other
creditors, according to a lawsuit filed late Thursday in U.S.
bankruptcy court.

UPDATE 1-Azerbaijan, slashing forecast, says economy to shrink 2.8 pct this year

BAKU, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Oil and gas exporter Azerbaijan
said on Friday its economy would contract by 2.8 percent this
year, dramatically revising down its previous forecast, which
was for gross domestic product to grow 1.8 percent in 2016.
