OTTAWA, Nov 7 (Reuters) - A new Canadian panel that is
looking at how to reform the national energy regulator will have
until the end of March 2017 to hand over recommendations to the
government, a source familiar with the matter said on Monday.
Even though evidence on an ever-worsening global climate keeps pouring in with alarming frequency, the last 12 months have, in fact, been a relatively good year for global climate policy. Next week, the world’s countries meet in Marrakesh, Morocco, to follow up on the gains made at Paris last year, and to try to reconcile these two facts.
NEW YORK, Nov 7 (Reuters) - Retail U.S. gasoline prices
remained elevated in some states on Monday following the restart
of Colonial Pipeline's main gasoline line early on Sunday after
a fatal explosion last week.
Newark, N.J.-based Public Service Enterprise Group hopes to get a positive ruling by the end of 2016 from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities on its plans to develop 33-MW of grid-connected solar energy on existing landfills and brownfield locations.
PARIS, Nov 7 (Reuters) - The boss of French oil and gas
company Total said on Monday that it would be happy to
be the first Western oil company to reach an agreement with
Iran, but he said a deal had not yet been signed.

PDVSA said on Monday there had been an oil spill in central
Anzoategui state and it was supplying drinking water to affected
communities during an operation over a radius of 50 kilometers
(31 miles).
