LAUNCESTON, Australia, Nov 8 (Reuters) - China's future use
of polluting coal for electricity shows the difficulty of
dealing with news that presents multiple facts, thus allowing
some to be highlighted over others.

SINGAPORE, Nov 8 (Reuters) - Oil prices were stable early on
Tuesday after posting strong gains the previous day, with
investors piling money into financial markets in expectation
that Democrat Hillary Clinton would win the U.S. presidential
election.

Amec Foster Wheeler unit Global Power Group has been awarded a contract from Enefit Energy in Estonia for the delivery of a boiler technology upgrade project.

In January, officials at the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) received an unsolicited proposal for a major project.  The plan — to build 100 floating wind turbines in the Pacific Ocean, 35 miles off the coast of Morrow Bay, and send 650 MW of power via undersea cable to an existing utility connection at Morrow Bay, about half-way between Los Angeles and San Francisco.  The estimated cost of the project was $3.2 billion.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Agency (EIA), solar energy made up nearly 1.5 percent of total generation in the U.S. between the months of June 2016 through August 2016. That’s up from just over 1 percent during the same period in 2015. Total generation from solar energy during these three months is up over 38 percent year over year.

NEW YORK, Nov 7 (Reuters) - U.S. pipeline companies with
operations at the heart of the country's commercial oil industry
restarted on Monday after a 5.0-magnitude earthquake late on
Sunday triggered safety shutdowns.
