WASHINGTON, Dec 15 (Reuters) - President-elect Donald Trump
on Thursday named U.S. Representative Ryan Zinke of Montana, a
former Navy SEAL commander and a proponent of coal development
on federal lands, as his choice for secretary of the interior.

Corpus Christi, Texas tells residents to stop using tap water

AUSTIN, Texas, Dec 15 (Reuters) - The Texas city of Corpus
Christi has told its nearly 320,000 residents to stop using tap
water due to possible contamination from an industrial chemical
leak, city officials said on Thursday.

CANADA STOCKS-TSX rises as banks gain; gold miners weigh

Congo asks telecoms to block social media ahead of planned anti-Kabila demos

KINSHASA, Dec 15 (Reuters) - Authorities in the Democratic
Republic of Congo have asked telecommunications companies to
block social media networks starting Sunday night in an apparent

UPDATE 1-Azerbaijan says one dead, 9 missing after oil ramp accident

BAKU, Dec 15 (Reuters) - The body of one Azeri oilfield
worker was found in the Caspian Sea on Thursday and rescuers
were searching for nine missing people after part of an oil ramp
collapsed in strong winds, a senior oil official said.
