BEIJING/SINGAPORE, Dec 16 (Reuters) - Beijing will not issue
fuel export quotas for independent refineries next year, dealing
a blow to the upstart group of companies and scrapping a key
component of a scheme that has transformed China's oil markets,
three sources said.

ISTANBUL, Dec 16 (Reuters) - Turkey has formally arrested an
executive of Dogan Holding, a conglomerate with major
media interests, in a widening probe into a U.S.-based cleric
Ankara accuses of masterminding July's attempted coup.

(Fri, 16 Dec 2016) U.S. dry natural gas production continued to increase in 2015, reaching 74.1 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d). This record-high level was a 4.5% (3.2 Bcf/d) increase over 2014, according to EIA’s <em>Natural Gas Annual</em>, which provides final production data for 2015.

BEIJING, Dec 16 (Reuters) - China's banking regulator said
on Friday that banks must strictly control credit to coal and
steel firms that are violating capacity cuts, the latest in a
series of regulations aimed at reducing loans to industries
