TORONTO, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index fell in
morning trading on Monday, led by a retreat among energy stocks
as oil prices lost ground, while financial, consumer, telecom
and industrial stocks also weighed.
LAGOS, Jan 9 (Reuters) - A Nigerian oil labour union will
stage a three-day strike at Chevron and Exxon Mobil
fuel depots from Wednesday in a protest over sackings if

Minister McGuinness will resign from his post in protest against
his power-sharing government partners' handling of a
controversial energy scheme, McGuinness said on Monday.
The San Diego County Water Authority and the City of San Diego said Jan. 6 that they have taken a step toward the possibility of helping the region meet its future energy needs through a new pumped storage opportunity at the San Vicente Reservoir site.
