Clean-energy investment fell 17 percent in the first quarter, keeping pace with last year’s decline, as the U.S. and China both scaled back support for wind and solar farms.
 
 

(Thu, 13 Apr 2017) Drivers in the United States will pay an average of $2.46 per gallon (gal) this summer for regular gasoline, according to forecasts in EIA's <em>Short-Term Energy Outlook</em> (STEO). Gasoline prices from April through September are expected to be 23 cents/gal higher than the average price last summer, but this price is still nearly 70 cents/gal below the previous five-year average.

The Gazprom Management Committee approved the 2018–2022 Comprehensive Targeted Program for the reconstruction and re-equipment of energy facilities operated by Gazprom Energo.

KBR announced that it has signed a multi-phase ten-year engineering and procurement services master contract (Master Contract) with Chevron U.S.A. to provide engineering and procurement services for Chevron in multiple global locations.

On March 25, 2017, Utah Governor Gary Herbert signed Senate Bill 197 (effective January 1, 2018), establishing an exemption for the purchase or lease of machinery, equipment, normal operating repair or replacement parts, catalysts, chemicals, reagents, solutions, or supplies used or consumed by a refiner who owns, leases, operates, controls, or supervises a refinery used to produce gasoline or diesel fuel.
