The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Rick Perry on Dec. 12 announced a significant new DOE commitment to advance offshore wind energy.
The U.S. Department of Energy is funding a new research consortium that will look into ways to reduce the cost of offshore wind in the U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry yesterday said that $18.5 million will be available for the R&D consortium.
Two California energy storage providers say they are deploying networks of systems in Japan to help the country use more renewable energy. Stem Inc., a California firm that provides energy storage solutions, said it’s deploying a network of systems with Mitsui & Co. Ltd., marking its first foray into Asian markets.
