The University of Washington is developing a fungi based aviation biofuel that might be competitive on the open market. Fungi naturally do many of the complicated chemical processes required by other fuels. This should mean that a fungi biofuel has lower production costs.

WASHINGTON, May 8 (Reuters) - The U.S. Justice Department has charged a former employee of the Department of Energy and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for allegedly attempting an email attack on government employees to extract sensitive information on nuclear weapons.

The Oregon Wave Energy Trust (OWET) announced that its 10th annual Ocean Renewable Energy Conference will be co-located this year with HydroVision International, the largest gathering of hydro professionals worldwide. PacifiCorp (a Berkshire Hathaway Energy Company) and Portland General Electric are the two official host utilities of the event and OWET is the official marine energy partner.
