BRUSSELS, Aug 19 (Reuters) - Britain and Germany will line up on opposite sides of a European Union green energy debate starting next month on how to meet agreed renewable fuel targets for the next decade.
Solar installations have grown by more than 600 percent across both residential and commercial properties in the past 9 years – a compound industry growth rate of 76 percent.
Renewable energy in Latin America has made some important gains over the last decade and seems positioned to continue in a positive direction thanks to several factors including steady gains in new projects and increased financial engagement by key players. In Central America and the Caribbean, two Latin American regions with large untapped potential for development, renewable energy technologies are poised to play a very important role in the region’s economic health.
Wind power prices have dropped down to an all-time low of just 2.5 cents per kWh, far below the average national average of around 11 cents per kWh, according to the DOE's 2014 ¨Wind Technologies Market Report.¨
BEIJING, Aug 19 (Reuters) - The value of China's total solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing output topped $31 billion in the first half of 2015, the industry ministry said on Wednesday, as the push for renewable energy continues in the world's largest solar PV producer.
