(Mon, 31 Aug 2015) With the planned release of the Petroleum Supply Monthly (PSM) later today, EIA is incorporating the first survey-based reporting of monthly crude oil production based on an expansion of its survey program earlier this year. Today's PSM includes EIA's first reporting of June crude oil production. EIA also begins using new survey data from multiple states and regions within the United States, and revises figures previously reported for January through May 2015.

(Mon, 31 Aug 2015) To enhance the transparency and utility of the Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report (WNGSR), the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) will make several important changes:
The regional breakdown of the data will now include five regions for working gas in the Lower 48 states.
The threshold for published revisions and reclassifications between working and base gas will be reduced from 7 billion cubic feet (Bcf) to 4 Bcf.

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has revealed that it has acquired a $4.48bn stake in the oil refiner Phillips 66.

Kuwait National Petroleum (KNPC) has awarded a $1.3bn contract to Saipem for delivery of package 4 and 5 of the Al-Zour new refinery project (NRP), located 90km south of Kuwait City.

Indian Oil (IOCL) has awarded Rs10.94bn ($165m) engineering, procurement and construction contract to Punj Lloyd for delivery of the package 2 at Haldia refinery in the Indian state of West Bengal.
