BEIJING, Oct 8 (Reuters) - China has nearly tripled the size of proven reserves at its Fuling project, by far the country's largest shale gas find, according to an official from investor Sinopec Corp and an industry report.
SHANGHAI, Oct 8 (Reuters) - Chinese authorities have placed the governor of Fujian province, who is also the former chairman of China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, under investigation on suspicion of "serious disciplinary violations", China's anti-graft watchdog has said.

(Thu, 08 Oct 2015) The U.S. Energy Information Administration released a PADD 5 Transportation Fuels Markets study on September 30 that examines supply, demand, and distribution of petroleum-based transportation fuels in Petroleum Administration for Defense District (PADD) 5, which encompasses California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii.
(Thu, 08 Oct 2015) The average cost to transport coal in the U.S. remained near $17.50 per ton between 2011 and 2013, but has increased by nearly 9% since 2008. The average cost of shipping by rail, which moves approximately two-thirds of all coal consumed in the U.S., increased by 14% from 2008 to 2013.
