LONDON, Jan 7 (Reuters) - UK mining and energy shares indexes slumped to their lowest level in more than 11 years on Thursday, with a sharp decline in prices of major industrial metals and crude oil on China-related concerns promoting investors to dump shares.

Lower crude oil prices in 2015 were the main cause for lower gasoline prices. In 6 of the 10 cities for which EIA collects weekly retail price data, gasoline prices did not exceed $3.00/gal.
