MILAN, March 6 (Reuters) - Russia's Gazprom is counting on its deep natural gas ties with Italy to revive plans aimed at bypassing Ukraine as a transit state for politically sensitive gas shipments to Europe.

Coal exports fell for the third consecutive year in 2015, ending the year 23 MMst lower than in 2014 and more than 50 MMst less than the record volume of coal exported in 2012. Slower growth in world coal demand, lower international coal prices, and higher coal output in other coal-exporting countries contributed to the decline in U.S. coal exports.
BEIJING, March 7 (Reuters) - China's carbon emissions, by far the world's highest, may have peaked in 2014, according to a study published on Monday, potentially putting Beijing under pressure to toughen its climate pledges.
Ecopetrol reports that its Board of Directors have approved a 2016-2020 road map for the Barrancabermeja Refinery, with the objective of maximizing its long-term competitiveness and sustainability, as established in Ecopetrol's strategic plan announced in May 2015.
