(Wed, 09 Mar 2016) U.S. monthly crude oil production in December 2015 continued to decline, as oil production reached its lowest level since November 2014. Production also declined from year-ago levels for the first time in more than four years. This continued production decline is the result of lower crude prices, which have declined more than 70% since the summer of 2014.
(Wed, 09 Mar 2016) Production of petroleum and other liquids in the United Kingdom increased in 2015, as investments made when oil prices were high came to fruition, but the UK remains a net importer. Although production in the UK has not yet responded to lower oil prices, investment in the UK?s oil and natural gas industry is declining. This decline will likely lead to lower production in the future.
TOKYO, March 9 (Reuters) - Liquefied natural gas (LNG) spot prices for delivery to Japan, the world's biggest buyer, in February fell to its lowest since the trade ministry started publishing figures two years ago, official data showed on Tuesday. The average price for cargoes contracted in Feb. was $6.50 per million British thermal units (mmBtu), down 60 cents from the previous month, and marking the lowest in data going back to March 2014, the trade ministry said.

LIMA, March 8 (Reuters) - An indigenous village in the Peruvian Amazon freed public officials it had been holding hostage to press for help after a ruptured pipeline spilled 1,000 barrels of crude on its lands, the state-owned energy company Petroperu said.
Amec Foster Wheeler has received a contract from Algerian energy company Sonatrach to support the development three new refineries located in Biskra, Tiaret and Hassi Messaoud in Algeria.
