LAUNCESTON, Australia, May 26 (Reuters) - The price of spot
cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Asia has broken its
long-standing link to crude oil this year, a development likely
to fuel tensions in an already unsettled market.

PARIS, May 26 (Reuters) - Nearly two dozen vessels were
queued outside the French oil import terminal in Fos, southern
France on Thursday, held up by a strike organised by the
hardline CGT and FO unions over planned labour reforms.

(Thu, 26 May 2016) U.S. consumption of natural gas is projected to rise from 28 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) in 2015 to 34 Tcf in 2040, an average increase of about 1% annually, according to EIA's Annual Energy Outlook 2016 (AEO2016) Reference case. The industrial and electric power sectors make up 49% and 34% of this growth, respectively, while consumption growth in the residential, commercial, and transportation sectors is much lower.

LAGOS, May 26 (Reuters) - A militant group has purportedly
claimed a new attack on a Chevron oil facility in Nigeria's
restive Delta region, a message on a Twitter feed previously
used by the group to take credit for strikes against oil
facilities said.

SINGAPORE, May 26 (Reuters) - Oil prices inched towards $50
a barrel in early Asian trade on Thursday, after U.S. government
figures showed a sharper-than-expected drawdown of crude stocks
last week as imports dropped.

BOGOTA, May 25 (Reuters) - Colombia's constitutional court
on Wednesday struck down a law which requires mining permits be
issued exclusively by the national government, a decision which
could open the way for provincial and local authorities to
restrict mining in their areas.
