LONDON, June 28 (Reuters) - Fossil fuel-producing companies
have been thrown onto the defensive over the last two years by
the argument that many of their reserves will be "stranded" as
the world transitions to cleaner forms of energy.

SAN FRANCISCO, June 28 (Reuters) - An investor group called
on Tesla Motors Corp on Tuesday to add two independent
directors to its board and separate the roles of chairman and
chief executive as it highlighted founder and CEO Elon Musk's
dominance of the board in the wake of Tesla's proposed bid for

NEW YORK, June 28 (Reuters) - Bets against both Tesla Motors
Inc and SolarCity Corp shares have risen after
Elon Musk announced a proposed merger last week, but any further
bets will be small as both stocks have few borrowable shares,
said Ihor Dusaniwsky, head of research at financial analytics
firm S3 Partners on Tuesday.

OSLO, June 28 (Reuters) - The fatal crash of an Airbus
helicopter in Norway in April was probably the result
of metal fatigue in the aircraft's gearbox, the country's
Accident Investigation Board (AIBN) said in a preliminary report

deals of top company executives prove that it knew of a massive
bribery and political kickback scheme.

A new issue advocacy group has been formed under the name American Wind Action with the goal of helping elect candidates who are strong advocates for wind power in the U.S.

ROME, June 28 (Reuters) - Hitachi Rail Italy, France's
Alstom and Swiss firm Stadler have won contracts worth a
combined 4.5 billion euros ($5 bln) to build trains for
Trenitalia, the Italian train operator said on Tuesday.
