UNITED NATIONS, Aug 12 (Reuters) - The United Nations
Security Council on Friday authorized the deployment of a
4,000-strong protection force in South Sudan's capital, Juba, as
part of the U.N. peacekeeping mission and threatened an arms
embargo if the government does not cooperate.

JUBA, Aug 12 (Reuters) - South Sudan will not accept a
4,000-member United Nations protection force to ensure peace in
its capital Juba and will not to cooperate with the world body,
a spokesman for President Salva Kiir said on Friday after the
U.N. Security Council authorized the troops.

UNITED NATIONS, Aug 12 (Reuters) - The United Nations
Security Council authorized on Friday the deployment of a
4,000-strong protection force in South Sudan's capital, Juba, as
part of the U.N. peacekeeping mission and threatened an arms
embargo if the government does not cooperate.

In Washington, the U.S. Department of Energy announced up to $11.3 million for three projects that support the development of biomass-to-hydrocarbon biofuels conversion pathways that, as the DOE remarked, “can produce variable amounts of fuels and/or products based on external factors, such as market demand.”

Aug 12 (Reuters) - U.S. drillers this week added oil rigs

the rig count in over two years, even as analysts revise down
rig count growth forecasts and energy firms become more cautious
the longer crude holds below $50 a barrel.

renewable power plant developer, which the judge described as
"hopelessly insolvent."
