Sept 30 (Reuters) - Hurricane Matthew has strengthened into
a Category 4, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on
Friday adding that a Hurricane Watch has been issued for
Jamaica.
NEW YORK, Sept 30 (Reuters) - U.S. oil demand fell in July
on a year-over-year basis for the first time in six months, as
gasoline sales could not overcome weak distillate demand, the

NEW YORK, Sept 30 (Reuters) - U.S. oil drilling has seen its
best quarter since crude prices tumbled two years ago mainly due
to small operators returning to the well pad, but analysts say
the continued recovery in the rig count depends on whether
OPEC's output reduction plan can bring the market back to $50 a
barrel.
SOCHI, Russia, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Russia has decided to
reopen the privatisation of mid-size oil firm Bashneft and will
not stop the country's largest crude company Rosneft from taking
part in the sale, First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said

Sept 30 (Reuters) - U.S. drillers in the third quarter added
the most oil rigs of any quarter since 2014, according to a
closely followed report on Friday, but the pace of additions has
slowed as crude holds below $50 a barrel despite OPEC's first
plan in eight years to cut output.
Drillers added seven oil rigs in the week to Sept. 30,
bringing the total rig count up to 425, the most since February
In a new report, the International Energy Agency said that renewable energy occupied a 17 percent share of global energy investments in 2015, up slightly from 16 percent in 2014.
