partner with Blackstone Group LP on a deal to buy

Oct 27 (Reuters) - Police in North Dakota began clearing a
group of Native American and environmental protesters from an
encampment near an oil pipeline construction site on Thursday in
a move that could escalate tensions in a standoff that has
lasted several months.

Russia's Rosneft cancels Lukoil's oil purchase deal with Bashneft

MOSCOW, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Russia's largest oil producer
Rosneft said on Thursday it had asked peer Lukoil
to cancel a crude oil purchasing contract with
Bashneft, which RBC daily put at 400 billion roubles ($6.4
billion).

New U.S. wind power capacity falls in 3rd qtr, construction rises

Oct 27 (Reuters) - U.S. wind energy installations fell 44
percent in the third quarter, though projects under construction
are approaching record levels thanks to its low cost and the
recent five-year extension of a key tax credit, according to an
industry group.

UPDATE 3-Teck Resources says quick restarts of steel-making coal mines unlikely

VANCOUVER, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Teck Resources Ltd,
North America's largest producer of steel-making coal, does not
expect two months of surging coal prices to trigger a flurry of
restarts by idled mines anytime soon, company officials said on

FAA restricts flights around Dakota Access pipeline site

Oct 27 (Reuters) - The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
has banned aircraft from flying over an area in North Dakota
where protesters are demonstrating against the construction of a
