WARSAW, Dec 1 (Reuters) - Shareholders in Polish state-run
coking coal producer JSW agreed on Thursday to transfer
its most troubled mine Krupinski to the state mining
restructuring company SRK, which will eventually wind it down,
the state-run news agency said.
LONDON, Dec 1 (Reuters) - OPEC has reached an agreement to
cut its oil output by almost 1.2 million barrels per day and
been rewarded with an increase in nearby futures prices of
around $5 per barrel.

MOSCOW, Dec 1 (Reuters) - Russia plans to cut its oil output
from November-December levels as a part of its agreement to
stabilise global oil market together with OPEC, Energy Minister
Alexander Novak told reporters on Thursday.
The U.S. Energy Information Agency (EIA) on Nov. 29 released electric generation statistics through the end of September 2016. Generation from geothermal, solar, and wind energy increased by 24 percent compared with the first nine months of 2015. Non-hydro renewable energy, including biomass, has made up 8.5 percent of U.S. electric generation thus far in 2016.
LONDON, Dec 1 (Reuters) - British engineering company
Rolls-Royce said it would cut a further 800 jobs in its
marine business to save an extra 50 million pounds ($63 million)
a year, responding to weak demand from shipping and energy
customers.
NEW DELHI, Dec 1 (Reuters) - Senior Indian government
officials tasked by the prime minister with reviewing energy
security are recommending the break up of the country's coal
monopoly, Coal India Ltd, within a year.
