NEW YORK, Dec 19 (Reuters) - The founder of New York-based
hedge fund Platinum Partners was arrested on Monday as
prosecutors unveiled an indictment charging him and six others
with participating in an approximately $1 billion fraud.

UPDATE 1-Saudi Arabia crude exports fall to 7.636 mln bpd in Oct -JODI

DUBAI, Dec 19 (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia's crude oil exports
fell in October by 176,000 barrels per day from the month
before, despite high production, but its refined products
shipments rose as the kingdom expands its refining power,
official data showed on Monday.

France: U.N. Aleppo resolution first step, calls on Syria and allies to implement it

PARIS, Dec 19 (Reuters) - France's foreign minister said on
Monday that the adoption of a U.N. humanitarian resolution on
Aleppo was just a first step and that all sides, especially the

EU parliament critical of delays to new car emissions rules

Italy, France and Spain, have delayed the adoption of stricter
car emissions' tests, despite evidence that this has allowed
pollution to go above legal limits, a draft report by European
Parliament said on Monday.
